Remembering the Red Avocado

I shot a photo essay for the February 2012 issue of Little Village, Iowa City’s news and culture magazine, about the recent closure of the Red Avocado, a local organic vegan/vegetarian/locavore restaurant.  It’s been a while since I’ve contributed anything substantial to the magazine, and it feels good to be back (especially on the cover).
